Thermo Fisher Scientific has been manufacturing single-use consumable products for over 20 years. Single-use technologies have been widely adopted, not only in research and process development, but are now the foundation for entire manufacturing suites. As the demand for single-use technologies has increased, so have customer expectations, especially around product availability. To meet the needs of our customers, Thermo Fisher is currently investing $120 million to expand our single-use manufacturing network. This investment will provide more than 100,000 square feet of total clean room space, bringing manufacturing closer to our customers and harmonizing our quality systems and processes. This will enable us to consistently create product and reduce lead times.
