The potential of cryo-electron tomography

Scientists at Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology in Dortmund use cryo-electron microscopy and cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) to study how single molecules modulate heart contractions. They switched part of their research to cryo-ET, to better see how proteins interact within the cellular environment.
